Prayer Walk Missions

Background
In 2005, that conviction inspired a youth conference near ExCeL London attended by almost 200 young people. They were encouraged to respect their parents, make responsible choices, respect the law, care about other people and become positive contributors to society. Those early conversations planted seeds that would grow into something much larger. What began as a ministry focused strongly on young people gradually became a wider community mission.

Today, Prayer Walk Missions seeks to meet people where they are. We serve through prayer, biblical teaching, education, family support, pastoral care, wellbeing, practical assistance and opportunities for people to discover their strengths.

At the centre of everything is the same conviction that started the journey: people should be able to encounter the love of God not only through what we say, but through how we treat them.
Our calling
Our guiding scripture is Acts 6:4: “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.”

Prayer Walk Missions exists to pray, teach and serve. We want people to know God more deeply, discover hope, strengthen their families and move forward in life.

Our vision is to see individuals, families and communities transformed through the love of God, continual prayer, the Word of God, education, wellbeing, opportunity, creativity and practical service.

This is why our ministry can look different from one day to the next. One day may involve prayer with someone facing illness. Another may involve helping a young person prepare for work. Another may involve supporting a family, teaching the Bible, helping with education or simply making time to listen.

The activity may change. The heart does not.
Everyone deserves dignity
Prayer Walk Missions is unapologetically Christian, but our community service is open and inclusive.

We serve people with compassion regardless of social status, background, belief or political affiliation. We want every person who encounters the ministry to feel respected, heard and treated with dignity.

Our values are expressed through love, prayer, the Word of God, service, inclusion, family, education, responsibility, wellbeing and opportuni
